Description

It the version of wget installed on the user's system is too old to support the --post-data option, the installation will fail and the only error messages the user will recive are those from wget itself. This condition should be detected and handled properly.

Do you know a distribution where this is the case? (hm.. can i say that in english?) I could try it out then.

I've looked into apkg-funclib and post-data is currently used for the statistics and for package search. So normally the installation shouldn't fail.

Can you describe at which point the installation fails?
